Guide to starting your visa process
We can support all incoming families who have a confirmed enrollment in place with guidance on a visa solution. All families traveling to Bali from abroad to join our School need to have visas in place to enter the country of Indonesia. It is important to get this process underway well in advance of your planned travel dates. Visas can be issued quite quickly but can sometimes take an unexpectedly long time, so make sure you have given yourself plenty of time and avoid adding unnecessary stress.
Where to start
Last updated April, 2024
All enrolled Green School Bali students are issues a student visa - which is a one-year continuous visa. Please make sure you are connected to the School's student visa provider, Ganesha Visa Services.
We can help you start the process as soon as you have had your enrolment application approved, have paid registration and have made your tuition fees payment when due. Our Admissions Team will require final confirmation on your enrolment start date one month ahead of tuition fees being due.
For parents and other non-enrolled family members, we recommend you begin your visa application process one month in advance of your travel dates. Most of our families use Genesha's services for their visas. Don’t forget to check the Orientation Day and First Day of School Dates.
If you are applying via an agent other than Ganesha, we recommend that you do not commit to any visa payments until your enrollment is registered. If using an alternative visa agent, Green School will require a copy of the issued visa and associated copies of documents eg: passport to register your child as attending Green School (as a legal requirement). You will be asked to provide this before the first day of school.
The Ganesha Team can provide you with more individualised instructions on how to move through the visa process, but the steps below outline the general process:
Ganesha or your alternative visa agent will provide you a visa application package. You will need to complete this and submit the package online via instructions from Ganesha/agent.
You may be required to also provide evidence of a flight booked - Genesha will inform you of this requirement also.
You will be advised via email when your visa has been approved by Ganesha/agent.
Make your final plans for departure and ensure that you arrive in Indonesia within 90 days of the visa being issued.
When in Bali, Ganesha or your alternative visa agent will provide further instructions including the extension process and advice on renewal options well ahead of the expiration of your Social Visa.
