"We love Orientation Day! We get to meet our new friends and help our newest community members feel part of the big Green School family. It's a special and important time for children to get familiar with their new school surroundings, and their new friends and teachers. Parents can get connected and organised - we know that's important too. The whole day has been designed for you and we can't wait to see you there!"

'Drop in After Drop off' coffee mingle for all parents at The Bridge

Supporting your child to settle in
Ahead of the first day of School the Head of your child's Learning Neighbourhood will be in touch with you. This important communication will outline what the program will look like for the first few days of school. Every semester we welcome many new students (generally between 20 and 60) and our educators are experienced and thoughtful in helping new students to settle-in, feel safe and connected to their teachers and peers.
There will be a process to greet and guide new students on their first day - each Learning Neighbourhood takes a slightly different approach to this that is best suited to the age and stage of the new students. They will be gently supported to build relationships with their peers and their teachers and get the learning underway.
Parents will also be met on the first day of School at the entrance gates. A confident and happy good bye generally helps children transition from your care to ours. A general. 'have a great first day, I will be here this afternoon to take you home and can't wait to hear about your first day' usually makes for a nice hand-over. Our general experience is that children settle in exceptionally well but feel free to reach out to your classroom teacher if you have any concerns at all in the first few days.
Our parent spaces on campus (Parent Learning Neighbourhood) allows our parents to connect with each other, socialise and participate in workshops and talks. Parent outings and Bali cultural immersion experiences will be on offer and we recommend you take these wonderful opportunities. This space and the programs for parents are facilitated by The Bridge.
Please ensure you have provided the Admissions Team with a local or whatsapp number that we can reach you on if needed at any stage.
Key documents to help you settle in
The Living in Bali Guide Guide is a reference on the practicalities of living in Bali and has been put together by parents, for parents. The Heartbook is your A-Z of how the School works, what’s what and all the terms and acronyms that you will come across during your time with us.
