Announcement - October 2020

Latest Update From Green School Bali (October 2020)

Priority Information for Families Starting Enrolment in January 2021

We are expecting all students enrolled for Semester Two 2020-21 to be in Bali, with their family/legal guardian and be ready to start in-person learning by the beginning of the Semester on 18 January 2021. Please note that the Indonesian Government requires a 14 day self-isolation period on arrival into Bali and Orientation Days will be held on 14 and 15 January. So you should work back from the Orientation dates when booking travel to ensure you have completed the mandatory quarantine period in full.

At this stage flights into Bali are coming via Jakarta, as a transit point. There are no international flights direct to Bali at this time.

We are able to process social visas for parents and students, with students then able to have a student visa granted once they are in Bali. Social visas are valid for six months (by virtue of extensions). Further extensions will be facilitated or other visa options may open up over the coming months. We have just welcomed around 30 newly enrolled or returning families who have come from around the world to Bali via this process.

The Ganesha Visa Team along with our visa and travel communications point person, Fabrice Abbey, are able to help you to get your visa application underway and answer questions. Fabrice can also assist you with some travel information, COVID testing requirements in Indonesia and connect you to an express service at the Jakarta and Bali airports to ensure a smooth arrival. You can contact Ganesha at visa@ganeshabaliconsulting.com and / or Fabrice at fabrice@roam.com.sg.

If you are completely new to Bali or are returning but do not have a home-base here, please know that over the next few months, we can provide you with some information and guidance on housing and other aspects of living in, and loving, Bali. Our Parents Association and Living in Bali Guide and Discussion Panel forms part of our pre-orientation program for all new families.

Please remember, it is our expectation and School policy that all enrolled children are here with at least one parent or legal guardian. This is a condition of enrollment unless an alternative is proposed, discussed and agreed with the School.
